That's what I thought too but it's exactly what happened: the variable [PAGEKW] worked on it's own but not inside another WebDNA tag or context on the same page. I tried placing the tag directly before *and* after the search command: [PAGEKW] [SEARCH db=ads.db&woanKWdatarq=[PAGEKW]] [PAGEKW] What I got was: flute flute and no search results Then I tried to remove the [ and ] from the search command: SEARCH db=ads.db&woanKWdatarq=[PAGEKW] Iit showed up on the page as: SEARCH db=ads.db&woanKWdatarq=flute I tried to replace the tag inside the search command with the value it was supposed to have: [SEARCH db=ads.db&woanKWdatarq=flute] and the search command came up with the results it was supposed to. --- As I said, the [PAGEKW] variable *was* improperly set and once I located and fixed the basic error, everything worked fine. So the strange phenomena does not affect the regular site activity in any way. It did however make debugging much harder.
