texte = [unsolicited_commentary] I have to say that I agree with that statement to some degree...fundament= ally, I don't "get"=20 twitter. I just can't see the value of sending traffic from my website to= another one where people=20 post 140 chars about what they had for breakfast or how big that new boil= is, and in fact i find=20 most of it to be downright inane. I almost never post on the site and i r= ead other people's posts=20 even less. My clients, however, really want to get onboard, and I am char= ging them for that, so I=20 guess in that sense it's good for me, but I pretty much expect them to as= k me to quietly remove=20 the twitter stuff from their sites next year at about this time. Maybe I'= m just old-school. Facebook on the other hand has turned out to be pretty cool for me from a= personal standpoint.=20 Like twitter, I hardly ever post on my "wall" and if I do it's just snark= y nonsense, and I=20 occasionally read other people's posts when I have time, but I have recon= nected with distant=20 family, old friends and other people I've known (and liked) throughout my= life but lost touch with=20 and as a result have had lunch with some of them and have made plans to s= ee others. Maybe some=20 business may come from these connections, but that is not why I'm there. [/unsolicited_commentary] [prediction] Facebook's new user feeds capability will be the end of twitter. By year'= s end this will be=20 apparent, and by next summer twitter will go the way of myspace and class= mates.com [/prediction] Ok, story time is over.
