texte = Hello DNA'ers, Hope this is a good one for everyone. Some WebDNA thoughts... I am really liking having a free Dev Edition copy of WebDNA installed on my development laptop. It always starts when the laptop starts and never gets in the way, but is always there when I want to code something or test something. (MacBook Pro / CICADA) Right now I'm having fun with security in WebDNA and will release a widget for everyones use and/or testing near the starting of the year. It is a tripple-seed encryption utility made to store passwords and account info. I will use it locally on my laptop to store all my passwords (150+ !) but it could be installed publicly as well without worry. (with SSL) Once data is entered, no one except EDC, not even a server administrator, would be able to recover the data if the passwords are lost (you can use either 1 or 2 passwords to access the system depending on your needs). Anyway, more about that later. :-) Also, I have been working with UTF-8 character encoding lately.... If you use BBedit, use "UTF-8 (No BOM)" instead of UTF-8. I guess the plain UTF-8 adds the Byte order marks by default which is not compatible with WebDNA. ..just passing along the info to maybe help someone avoid having to spend time re-encoding a bunch of WebDNA files... :-/ What else?? Well, Brian F. passed along a 10.5/6x module for apache 2.2x that apparently works on the G-series mac processors. So, if you need to run CICADA on a G5, let me know and I'll forward you (or post) his module. (thanks Brian!). Happy new year!
