I also use TouchTerm for shell access to the server (Mac Xserve). They've saved me several times for quick fixes. Since 'most' of the iphone apps are supposed to run on the iPad, I expect these will. I'll buy an iPad. it'll do at least 80 percent of what i do on the web and be a lot less to carry around. > > Dean Smith Hey Dean, I use TouchTerm as well but also only good for small tweaks... Just doing 'ls -la', you have to switch to an alternate key pad to get the '-'... which appears not much different on the iPad. I'm pretty sure that I will think it's a mistake to have not put the numbers row on the default keyboard.. but I guess I won't know that until I get my hands on one. I'm used to feeling out the embossments (if that is a word) on the f and j keys as well, so I am wondering how difficult it will be to type accurately. Even Jobs was messing up a bit on the keynote video. ;-) (good thing they have a keyboard dock accessory) Anyway, very interesting. I'm addicted to apps... still playing fieldrunners... which I must find a good way to get back at Patrick for introducing me to it! ;-) Donovan -- Donovan Brooke Euca Design Center [Practical-Ethical-Efficient] www.euca.us egg.bz artglass-forum.com Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
