I do want to get it running under Windows 7 so I'll try your instructions below again. I tried them once already from Donovan's post of your thread from long ago but it did not work for me. Probably doing something basic incorrectly. If I find the magic solution I'll make sure to post it. I think there's a lot of similarities between 7 and 2008. Might help you: 1) Before installing WebDNA, you need to make sure that you have already installed IIS 6 Metabase Compatibility, ISAPI Extension Support and ISAPI Filters on the server. Make sure you can get to the default web page with a browser and figure that out before proceeding. 2) Install the Windows CICADA package. It will attempt to set up and configure the services and will likely generate an error message. WSC will update the installer in the future, but until then, please follow the rest of these steps. 3) Open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. 4) Double-click "Handler Mappings" from the main IIS screen. 5) Click on "Add Script Map". 6) Set up the handler mapping for c:\inetpub\scripts\WebCatalogEngine\$WebCat.dll with extensions *.tpl, *.tmpl, *.htm, *.html, plus/or any other suffixes and check to allow the ISAPI extension and execution of scripts. 7) Double-click "ISAPI & CGI Restrictions" on the main IIS screen. Right-click on WebCat and select "Edit Feature Settings" and check "Allow unspecified ISAPI modules". 8) Right-click on the Default Application Pool (or the one you want to use if more than one) and select "Advanced Settings". 9) Change the "Enable 32-bit Applications" to True. Click OK. This spawns the App Pool in 32-bit mode, so if you have other modules that need to be run in 64-bit mode, best to separate the website into two App Pools: one 32-bit and one 64-bit. 10) Restart the server.
