texte = well sure.. I can imagine wanting to know about that. But here you were using a failing append as evidence of windows perm problems, and that append issue may have had nothing to do with perms. If your append still fails after taking out automunber, then you could look more deeply into windows perms. If your append works after taking out autonumber, then it shows that perms were not the issue here. I was just trying to help sort out what was causing what.. before making assumptions... on the way to learning the answer to the general Q of if there are perms on windows.
