A completely new system would be great.
If it existed it would be competition in my mind for all the great carts that are available already in the world - though webdna integration would be a plus.
What most of us need though for now is a replacement for the existing tags.
a small system whether database or cart files that replaces the functionality of the current e commerce tags without having to replace the tags.
it seems this might be simpler than whole new system to implement for now.
there are not that many tags and they don't do that much except formulas.db=A0 area.
so if need be i would build that first.=A0
what we have works fine it is just currently on a dead end it seams.
we were on dead end just a few years back with the end of smith micro ownership...and after the new wdna team took over we felt safe enough to build one more version of our store which does not actually use formulas.db but still used carts and order purchase tags.
still want to find a way to stay on the ship. excited about new version7.
