In another post, when someone asked if version 7 was going to be like the old developer edition, Chris responded that the commerce Commands were being deprecated but that the commerce Contexts would still function for now and said that yes version 7 will be like the developer edition. This is why there is confusion. Also, if anyone is looking for a simple store there used to be a general store included as an example commerce site, simply updating that little example would be much better than storebuilder in my opinion.
