Yet, that is exactly what Chris wanted to do and your definition of depr=ecated which is the correct one, is not the way Chris used the term.=A0 For= example, he listed these items as being deprecated in version 7.
Deprecated: XML-like syntax Deprecated: [applescript]
Deprecated: phone home system Deprecated: the URL command system
Deprecated: sandboxes and "global" Deprecated: old licensing syst=em (domain limits)
As far as I know, the items above have been eliminated from version 7, n=ot deprecated.=A0
In another post, when someone asked if version 7 was going to be like th=e old developer edition, Chris responded that the commerce Commands were be=ing deprecated but that the commerce Contexts would still function for now =and said that yes version 7 will be like the developer edition.
This is why there is confusion.=A0 Also, if anyone is looking for a simp=le store there used to be a general store included as an example commerce s=ite, simply updating that little example would be much better than storebui=lder in my opinion.
