I might own 1024 IP's but I think I'm down to 230 active IPs. Because of my love for WebDNA and the limitations of WebDNA 3, 4, 5, and 6 to be installed on a server I was always forced to keep the server room running. Shared hosting was never an option. I'm looking at this shared hosting because I will never have to worry about hardware again. We all know that WebDNA 6 and lower tends to stop working from time to time. I had to program several cron jobs to monitor my servers and send text messages to 3 of us here just so we could jump in and restart the deamon. Worrying about backups is another thing I just want to happily forget about. So I'm taking the plunge since it looks like WebDNA 7 will run inside their built in FastCGI. When WSC first announced that the Commerce Tags would no longer be supported I started to reengineer my CMS from scratch and didn't use a single one of those (then) depreciated tags. I don't have all the StoreBuilder features recreated yet, but I'm almost there. Non of my websites need dedicated servers and the need for shared Globals any more like they did years ago. I believe GoDaddy is the largest hosting company, and until they announced the 4GH you had to get one of their more expensive plans for FastCGI to be installed. The VPS and Dedicated servers don't even come with it. I have yet to start this transfer project. But if it works I'll be able to convert about $80,000 in yearly data center costs into an additional $79,100 of gross income. That in itself is enough to give this a try. -Matt On 5/4/2012 11:14 PM, Donovan Brooke wrote: > Psi Prime Inc, Matthew A Perosi wrote: >> Closing my server room is going to be bittersweet.
