texte = There have been a few interesting discussions on here lately about CMS, e-commerce systems, and a new generation of the StoreBuilder offered by WSC. I recently said I was going to look into getting my CMS to work with GoDaddy's shared hosting, and it looks like it will work, although I will have to clean up some things. I'm thinking of open sourcing my CMS once I get it working at GoDaddy. I would create install directions for the layman to get it running, including how to get a WebDNA 7.x LIC to install and work. My "Junior" CMS itself was 100% recoded since 2008 to avoid all the commerce tags, but it's based on a very solid CMS originally grew out of the WebCatalog StoreBuilder. It's also 100% written in WebDNA with all processing done server side. I'm pretty proud of the SEO features I've built into the system and I feel they will be the biggest draw for people trying to get learn SEO at the same time they are figuring out content management and shopping carts. I fully intend to continue developing my CMS and expanding the features, but there's no sense in "open sourcing" it unless other WebDNAers would be interested. I've never open sourced anything before, but from my initial thoughts I'm seeing this as a way to expand WebDNA's visibility, and lower my customer resistance to "proprietary" software-as-a-service offerings that I currently have. If they decide to fire me they can always hire one of you guys. This is just an idea I've been kicking around since Friday and I would love from feedback on it. Thanks for the feedback, Matt PS: My full feature list is too long but here are some of my basic Junior CMS features: * Shopping cart * Mobile website module * Membership module * QR Code module for all products * 301 redirect management module * Content Management * Content layouts * Drop down menu management * Blog Module * Article Module * Newsletter Module * Contest Module * Content Swap system to stage content months in advance * Daily content swap so you can stage content days in advance * Preview & Publish of content * Almost every feature and screen has SEO fields built in and associated with it. -- Matthew A Perosi Corporate Consultant Mobile Marketing Expert Senior Web Developer SEO Analyst& Educator Psi Prime, Inc. 323 Union Blvd. Totowa, NJ 07512 Direct: 973.200.4940 Fax: 973.200.2243 http://www.perosi.com Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
