texte = Talk list members, As WSC begins its plans for a future robust, all-inclusive WebDNA 8 release for the FastCGI (WebDNA 7x) and the DSO (Native Apache - 'Server') platforms, we will first release at least two supplemental builds for the CICADA 6.2 (Server) product. The purpose of these two builds is two fold: 1.) To spur our financing efforts for WebDNA 8. 2.) To bring CICADA to a contemporary level by focusing our efforts on CentOS 6.2 and Ubuntu's (LTR) 12.04 Server releases. Currently, the CICADA installer does not run on these, and other, contemporary linux distributions. ** As many of you might guess, these new builds should also be compatible with many of the other popular contemporary linux distributions out there as well, such as Fedora and RedHat. These builds will likely be "patch-based builds", and may require some knowledge upon upgrading. It will require that you already have WebDNA 6.2 installed (in any mode, developer, productions, etc..). Since the WebDNA 6.2 installer will fail on a fresh CentOS 6.2 or Ubuntu 12.04 system, there will be a readme.txt file distributed with the patch with complete instructions on how to install. WSC will also be available to help with installs for the patch, if needed. The cost for the patch (either build) is $50. Sales are based on the honor system. The release date is loosely set for up to a couple weeks from today. If you would like to aid in our financing for this effort (which we would appreciate), WSC is taking pre-orders now. To order a CentOS 6.2 or Ubuntu 12.04 build, simply email sales at: sales@webdna.us Please put your desired build, 'CentOS6' or 'Ubuntu12', in the subject line.
