I=20do on occasion host a charity website. My situation...I run Ubuntu and manage all my workstations and secondary servers. I=20have under contract a local developer to manage my web and mail servers=20and he prefers CentOS. He has a lot of custom stuff installed/configured=20that do other jobs of which is beyond me.This guy is going on vacation tomorrow and is expected to be at my=20location in about 4 hours and will be here this evening until everything=20is up and running. He has 2 servers running CentOS5 in a cluster using Gluster for website=20and email. Something on the primary server went corrupt and I am=20guessing that Gluster copied the errors to the secondary server. The primary server is currently powered down. I copied a backup copy of=20the cgi-bin directory from a backup to the secondary server to get=20things up and running. So far today, running on the secondary server, we experienced the=20"WebDNA Engine not running" error once so I am not sure where the root=20of the error is.It has been in my plans to invest in a new pair of servers later this=20year at which time I was going to as this 3rd party guy to install the=20most recent version of CentOS.As he is going on vacation tomorrow and I only have his attention this=20eve, I am asking your professional opinion of what CentOS version to=20upgrade to and which version of WebDNA I should purchase and install.* 1 - Is there a speed/performance difference between the Server and=20FastCGI versions?** 1a - Does V8.1 only run on CentOS 6 or will it also run on CentOS 7*** What versions of apache will work for the above?** 1b - Does V8.2 only runs on CentOS 7 or will it also run on CentOS 8*** What versions of apache will work the for the above?** 2 - Will all of the WebDNA code in my templates written using V6.2 be=20interpreted without the need for any modifications?** 3 - If you suggest the fastCGI, I understand there is a different=20licencse for each domain. If I purchase a second license for ocassional=20charity sites of which I typically on have one of these running in=20addition to my main site, will the license allow the re-naming of a domai=n?** 4 - Is removing WebDNA 6.2 as easy as just removing it from the=20cgi-bin directory?Thank you in advance for your assistance.Best Regards,SteveOn 06/21/2016 12:41 PM, christophe.billiottet@webdna.us wrote:>> What current versions WebDNA will work with centOS 5?> This is untested, but you might try with the FastCGI.
