texte = 596 There seems to be a bit of a lack of understanding of CPANEL / WHM = here.. Yes it overwrites a bunch of stuff.. but one would not install WebDNA = the =93normal way=94 with a CPANEL server, you would use CPANEL to do = things like add directives (Script Aliases, etc..), allow .htaccess, = dictate how the cgi-bin is to be used, etc.. This is off the top of my head while I=92m at work.. but CPANEL is a = deeply invasive server system, that also allows diversity once you learn = how to use it.=20 For example, you can build any number of Apache versions, and specify = apps and versions to be included in that build, etc.. You can set up your Accounts to be their own user-restricted space, or = run as a global web user.=20 You can save your Account Profile so that you can quickly add additional = Accounts with those same characteristics.=20 I=92m pretty sure the only reason the list hasn't heard of WebDNA = running on CPANEL is that nobody with WHM knowledge, and WebDNA install = knowledge has done it yet. As patrick pointed out, there are various ways of integrating.. you = could indeed work with a third party package installer, such as = Softaculous. That is a good way to glean some marketing too.=20 You could also just install it :-) CPANEL creates =93Accounts=94 which align with directories that all = include their own cgi-bin. This is why I think FastCGI version would = work well for CPANEL. Unfortunately, I don=92t have any time these days = to =93play=94. I would make the suggestion, if resources allow, to have WSC utilize = the services of the WebDNA C++ developer on this, with the goal of = producing a standard operating procedure for the public=85. and also to = look into the package managers, such as Softaculous.
