Change the second one to 'add2database2' or something. Also I would suggest you use jQuery or some other framework for ajax. You could then code one function but use 'data-' attributes on the buttons to pass in variables such as the target hotspot. - Tom ============================================== Digital Revolutionaries 1st Floor, Castleriver House 14-15 Parliament Street Temple Bar,Dublin 2 Ireland ---------------------------------------------- [t]: + 353 1 4403907 [e]: [w]: ============================================== On 15 May 2018 at 15:58, Palle Bo Nielsen wrote: > H all > > I have started an additional development to my forum system ( > macnyt.dk/forum) where you can Like (plus/minus) posts within a thread. > For this I have taken the AJAX Module (and slimmed net down to y needs) > code provided by Terry Wilson (posted on webdna.us) as I would like for > any plus/minus vote to appear instantly on the very same page where the > voters evaluates a forum post - hense the Ajax approach. > > http://webdna.us/page.dna?numero=314 > > So I have build a sample code which actually works 95% but I have > encountered a problem which I can not fix nor can I understand where the > issue is located. > > My challenge is that Would like to have the accumulated posts printet > within the area. I have started an additional dev= elopment to my forum system (macnyt.dk/forum) where you can Like (plus/minus) posts within a = thread. For this I have taken the AJAX Module (and slimmed net down to y ne= eds) code provided by Terry Wilson (posted on webdna.us) as I would like for any plus/minus vote t= o appear instantly on the very same page where the voters evaluates a forum= post =C2=A0- hense the Ajax approach.

So I have build a s= ample code which actually works 95% but I have encountered a problem which = I can not fix nor can I understand where the issue is located.
My challenge is that Would like to have the accumulated posts = printet within the area. The current code prints in one place regardless of= this area the code comes from. In other words. If I press YES in Area 1 th= en I would like to have the accumulated YES votes printed just below the re= levant area 1 and not in any other area. The the place to print is called [= hotspot] and is located in the index.dna file.

I h= ave provide the source code of my development with courtesy of Terry code o= n the following link. If you are interested in helping out then download th= e .zip file and place it in your root folder - it should work out of the bo= x.
