texte = 2076 I made the change and still having the issue. In order for [protect = user] to authenticate, I have to turn off HTTPS and use HTTP. I checked all my apache2 configs to make sure I didn=E2=80=99t have it = anywhere else other than my virtual host config. When using HTTPS, the web browser brings up the username/password = request, but never accepts it.
