I'm not sure why it came so late (might have something to do with my 16.04 -> 18.04 upgrade) but thanks again for posting your instructions for how to fix the problem. I never heard of PrivateTmp before either. It's a good thing Christophe was on top of this issue ... for both of us! Could someone at WSC post the solution to this problem on the download page of webdna.us? This would help people who are upgrading their OS without installing WebDNA from scratch. For new users, a better solution would be to update the installer and make it set PrivateTmp=false. But even new users should be able to manually set PrivateTmp=false. Here's some text for the downloads page in case anyone wants to post it there. Feel free to edit it as you desire: After an upgrade to Ubuntu 18.04+ or after freshly installing WebDNA on Ubuntu 18.04+ you may see the "Sorry WebDNA server not running" error message in your browser. If this happens to you, just open the /lib/systemd/system/apache2.service file as root, set PrivateTmp=false, save the file, and reboot the server.
