Re: View order not right
This WebDNA talk-list message is from 1997
It keeps the original formatting.
numero = 11964

texte = >When I go to view an order that has just been placed everything is in >there except the Title of the good purchased all I see is [title]. I >believe this is why I keep getting mail errors that say handled with >error I get the mail 90% of the time. Where should I look?The View Order URL probably is missing the db=catalog.txt -- that's how an order file knows where to look up the SKU to determine field values like [title].If you look at the docs for the Order File Format, you'll see that the order file never actually stores the field values from your database. So WebCatalog has no idea what [title] or [YourCustomField] means in the context of an order. Al it knows about are things like [textA], [price], and such. Being the nice programmer that I am, I added a special ability so that if you specify a database while doing a $ShowCart, WebCatalog will do a lookup in that database using the SKU stored in the lineitem of that shopping cart item.Grant Hulbert, V.P.
