[DATE] that kind of stuff.Well, it all depends on how I do it.Before I made any changes to my Mac files, I sent them to the NT server exactly the way they were written and working on my Mac - which uses the plugin and suffix mapping for both .html and .tmpl suffixes. The files didn't work directly, obviously, so ...Instead of changing any of the files themselves, I did a test first. I typed a URL into the browser that included the full path name and search args as follows:http://www.website.com/scripts/webcatalog/$webcat.dll/folder/template.tmpl&searc h?db=xxx.db&neskudatarq=0The search worked, and the results were properly displayed on the results page ... but the links from that page to other pages did not work. The links retrieved the pages but the WebDNA was ignored, so it showed up on the pages. I assumed this was because I typed the location in manually. Therefore, I used BBEdit to change all the calls in the HREF's and ACTION's on all the files in the site - because that 'should have' guaranteed that every page would work properly. I put this into all the calls:/scripts/webcatalog/$webcat.dll/folder/Okay, so now when I load the home page, it gives me a link to a page that has a search context in it - but the search context doesn't get processed, it just gets displayed on the page as raw WebDNA. This is the part I do not understand. Why doesn't the [search] get processed? If the link is the following, the search on the template.tmpl page does NOT work: But if I type the following URL in directly, the $search defined in the hyperlink works fine ...This leads me to believe that WebCAt2 will NOT process the WebDNA on the template.tmpl page unless some kind of explicit command is performed by the hyperlink.>Usually I forget the > when I am moving a site...I didn't forget this, but I used instead of . Is that the problem?By the way, what ever happened to using WebCatalog folder hierarchy without using , is that still possible? On NT as well as on the Mac?>You are right the HREFs do need to change, but hopefully you have been >using all relative style HREFs so that the only one that has to change is >the first one in the site and everything else is relative to that...I don't believe this is true. If it is, then something else is wrong. After I changed ALL my HREF's and ACTION's to include the .dll calls, I thouglt everything would be fine, but it's not.Sincerely, Ken Grome WebDNA Solutions Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
