It keeps the original formatting.

What I mean is[writefile thisFile] [search db=xxx.db&neskudata=0] fieldname1 fieldname2 fieldname3 [founditems] [fieldname1] [fieldname2] [fieldname3] [/founditems] [/search] [/writefile](there are tab characters between the field names and a return character at the end of the line) will write the results of the search to a file, with an extra line between each [founditems] line. If you don't want the extra line, make [founditems] look like[founditems][fieldname1] [fieldname2] [fieldname3] [/founditems]instead. The search results are properly written to the file, by the way.Hope this helps,Marc Eagle StarNine Technologies http://www.smithmicro.com/ >From: WebDNA-Talk@smithmicro.com on Thu, Jun 19, 1997 12:28 PM >Subject: creating writefile data from a nested search >To: WebDNA-Talk@smithmicro.com > >Can I determine what goes into a [writefile] file by making the 'guts' of >that file the result of a search?
