texte = Some comments about using an ! B19 NT Version:[hideif [homeP3]=] [homeP3] [/hideif]The above should show field homeP3 if there is something in that container. This works, though when homeP3 ends in an ! (which can be quite common for a title), it DOESN'T show homeP3. Take out the ! and bingo, back on the page. This ! point also seems to alter comparisions. I want to check if a user changed a field so I assign the field to a variable, pass it to another page, and check if the variable is different than what's in the database. This works fine...until I have contents in a field like: This is a test!. The comparision will come up that they are different, even though I don't change the input field at all. But when it's something other than text ending with an exclamation point, it works fine.Question: Does having an ! at the end of a string interfere with comparisions? If yes, what other characters will alter comparisions. Are there any reserved characters we shouldn't use in comparisions like searching with $,?, etc.?Aloha,Olin.....................................................................
