The answer is that I was using an invalid FROM: account. As soon as I put in a real account on the from: line, it worked (although it's a bit of a worry that it says File handled with error: 0...). Gee I feel dumb asking for help when a bit of patience would have solved it. On the other hand, just writing the problem down often suggests directions to a solution. For those who want more info on the problem, read on:---------------------------Thanks for the tip, Grant-- I missed it when I looked on the site. But I still can't do it. I have set Emailer up appropriately, but this is what happens: - drop a text file into the EmailFolder. The file has five lines:>thomas@woomeranet.com.au>fromMe@woomeranet.com.au>title>body1>body2>body3 -within two seconds, Emailer moves the file to the EmailCompleted folder - at the same time, the SMTP server (EIMS 1.1.2) says SMTP connection from server.woomeranet.com.au... - at the same time, Emailer says File handled with error: 120: ... - Five minutes later, EIMS says SMTP incoming connection timed out...I can't work out what I'm doing wrong. EIMS is happily serving a pile of mail, both POP and SMTP. Emailer is opening a connection to it but giving up immediately. thomas@woomeranet.com.au is a valid mail account.I would be really annoyed if I spent all this time developing an online store, only to be stumped by a simple email script. Maybe I can't see the wood for the trees and I am missing something simple. Any ideas?RegardsThomasThomas Wedderburn-BisshopDevelopment ManagerWoomera Net Solutions
