If it's a calculation, then just stick >that calculation right into the formula:It is a field in my database with a value of 1 to 5. Each record has a SV(shipping value) value. Sets receive a value of 5, becuase there weight is 5 times that of a piece future items may have values inbetween. My formula for shipping would work if I can get the total of SV's in a given order. Lets say they buy 3 items, one which is a set. The SV would then be 7, 5 for the set and 1 for the 2 single items. Shipping is based upon this number if the SV is 5 or less shipping is $5.00, if the SV is 6-10 then shipping is 9.00. If the SV is 11-15 then shipping is 14.00. This way I am covered if the customers only order 3 items and they are all sets. There shipping value=15 and shipping is $14.00 if however they order 3 items and no sets the SV is 3 and shipping is $5.00. Why you ask would I do it this way instead of using the assigned S&H formula. Lets take my first example They have bought 3 items the set has a handling charge of 5.00 and the items each have one of $1.00. Then my shipping would be the 5.00 base shipping plus 5.00 for the set, plus 1.00 for each of the other items for a total of $12.00. Under my clients system his charge change only at certain levels 5 10 15 20 25 30 etc. Had he bought one more car his charge would increment by one dollar when he still had not reached the maximum weight for the items shipped. Not that any of this matters, just thought I would let you know our reasoning. Plus I am learning gobs about WebDNA.PS We just signed a contract for a highly interactive website that will test the limits of WebDNA and these small sites we have done will definitely help to push this envelope wider. Thanks for all the help.
