texte = It seems to me that every beginner has EXACTLY the same two problems withWebCatalog...A) Shipping Calculations The documentation should clearly show examples of how to calculateshipping 3 ways: 1)By fixed price shipping (if subtotal is between $20 and $40 thenshipping is $4.95) 2)By percent of subtotal 3)By number of units shipped Of course, the unitshipcost field should also be explained a littlebetter, and shown how to integrate with the above three examples. AND theycould be shown in the docs using MATH functions instead of wastingdatabases.B) Taxation Not every state has a different tax rate by zip code, some mail ordercompanies only have to worry about sales tax in 1 or 2 states with only 1tax rate (per state). Also, the Taxable field is not very well pointed outin the docs (I know I'm beating a dead horse here...) Anyway, webcatalog is GREAT, I have no desire to switch to any otherdatabase software. This Email list is invaluable, and if it weren't for somedocs that aren't comprehensive enought, I would vote this the best piece ofsoftware ever! Brian B.
