Is that true, or am I missing something simple? The Webcatalog Prefs page only talks about starting and stopping the Emailer application. Has anyone implemented an email interface with Eudora in Applescript they would like to share? :)The reason I ask is that we are planning to email daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports directly from Webcat, and I think we will hit Emailer's message size limit (is it 9k?). We could email people a url with the report location on our web site, but in my experience reports are much more likely to be read if they are included in the email and don't require any extra steps for the user. My second question may be a feature request. I need to execute some webcat code once every x time increment, where x is probably once per day, once per week, once per month, and probably some other odd times as well.I know that there is already some cleanup code that is executed once per hour (shopping cart maintenance), and I was thinking how nice it would be to have some generic facility available in Webcat for scheduled execution of procedures.I can envision setting up a cron database with date, time, and commands to execute, and tying that into some html page that users hit fairly often (like the home page) and check the cron database to see if any procedures are due to be executed. The down side of this method is if any of these commands are time consuming (like multiple filesystem calls, re-rendering of html files, etc), then the unlucky person who hits the index page at the right time gets to wait for all of these commands to execute before their page is displayed.I suppose I could set up Pagesentry to hit particular pages at specific intervals to execute my scheduled procedures. Unfortunately, I don't have the extra sentries to do this at the moment, and I think there should be an easier way to do it totally inside webcat.Any ideas?Thanks,Dale--- Dale LaFountain | mailto:dalel@dhorse.com Director of MIS, WebMaster | http://www.dhorse.com/ Dark Horse Comics, Inc. |Phone: 503-652-8815 x324 Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
