Our strategy is to embrace our critics and make them happy by answering their needs. This is true. I started using WebCat several years ago, long before most people had even heard of it. I remember beta testing one of the early 1.x versions and sending Grant some of the most caustic complaints I have ever sent to any software author. But instead of getting irritated at me for complaining about this wonderful new software that he and his partners had spent so much time to create, Grant just went ahead and fixed the problems I complained about, then he emailed me the newly-repaired versions of WebCat, usually within a few hours! It was then that I truly began to understand and appreciate Pacific Coast Software for its exceptional service and attention to the needs of its customers.Knowing that this firm was backing their powerful new software with the best service I had ever seen in my life, I began to devote 10 hours a day or more to teaching myself to program WebCatalog. It was, and in my opinion still is, the best web database and eCommerce software available for the vast majority of web sites in the world today.WebCat will never do everything for everybody ... and we are fortunate that PCS doesn't try to make it into a 'do everything' program. But as long as WebCatalog continues to maintain its focus on high-speed web data serving while improving its powerful eCommerce capabilities, nothing will be able to touch it for a long long time.Sincerely, Ken Grome ken@iav.com 808-737-6499 WebDNA Solutions http://webdna.net/ Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
