I hope this helps. Thanks John,Your idea provides the conceptual basis for a solution -- with the following precautions:The last time I tried using a group field in the manner you're suggesting, by assigning it to the original field, it was NOT possible to use both the original field name and the new group field name in the same search.Using a group field name and the original field name as two separate search parameters ends up doing the same thing as using the original field name twice -- it does not work -- it produces the wrong results. In order to make WebCatalog behave properly, I had to create *two* group fields, using one for the first the search parameter and the other for the second search parameter. I could not use the original field name in the search without getting the wrong results. It seems WebCatalog does not accept the real field name when that field is also being used in the search parameters as a group field. Unless this behavior has been changed recently, users must create a group field name for EACH parameter in a search --just do NOT combine both a group field and the original field in a search.Sincerely,Ken Grome808-737-6499WebDNA Solutionsmailto:ken@webdna.nethttp://www.webdna.net
