It is our policy to investigate all payment methods as they become available. We have been following SET for 2 years now, and it has not progressed to a stable point yet where we can guarantee interoperability. It is a very complex specification. In many cases, WebMerchant gets new features 'for free' because it uses ICVerify, PCAuthorize, and MacAuthorize as its back-end payment authorizer. This means that when you get a new version of ICVerify that supports a new system (CyberCash, maybe, now that they've merged) then you get those new abilities in WebMerchant automatically. So I would ask Tellan or ICVerify when they are going to support SET, and perhaps you will get a date for that from them. As soon as the SET people provide a stable API we can use, then we can look into adding those features directly to WebMerchant. Thank you for the URL -- we will add it to our list of investigations. (BTW, C-SET looks like it requires a computer chip to work -- not something that will become widely available soon).Grant Hulbert, V.P.
