texte = I have just found something I did not anticipate. I have a database setup for a local town where people in the community can post items for sale or services etc. a kind of builetin board. I have created admin pages that allow one of the township admins to go and approve new postings. No problem. It doesn't get alot of use yet so I had not seen this before. I am creating a unique SKU using a time and date stamp, this is how I search for the items using the admin pages. Anyhow, someone in the town posted their item to the database twice. I guess they did that by reloading their form which gave it an identical SKU as the first time they posted. Now if I go to the admin pages to approve it, It brings up both the records as ifthey were one, 'cause essentially they are the same record althought they exist twice in the database. So if I delete the record it will remove both and if I approve it it will approve both and display both.Has anyone dealt with this? Should I be searching the database to see if the record exists before I append to the database? Any help would be great. Thanks,Charles _______________________________________________________________ Charles Kline ckline@macsultants.com MacSultants Professional Solutions for Computer Systems Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
