We plan to let all our clients use Typhoon and currently I rewrite and translate the whole Typhoon manual, because we have not enough time to answer the awaited basic questions. For example: One of our most innovative clients (he worked with Perl before) is already using it and I had a 10-mails-thread with him until he got the system and could work with [math] and variables...I use the manual often, but it is for developers and hard to understand for the beginner. My opinion: HTML-knowledge is necessary, but any other information has to be in the manual. I remember that Ken already showed his readiness to write a manual and I am pretty sure there will be some others too. For me, I am willing to work on it either. My english is not good enough but I have not forgotten my own start with WebCat and can deliver some ideas and examples to make the system more understandable for novices.Suggestion: A complete new part for the beginner, which covers all basic techniques to work with forms, variables, databases, carts etc. Some tune-up of the current reference section. A new section for more sophisticated solutions like big databases, user tracking and so on. A technical section which deals with different servers, cache and memory, performance issues etc.Peter__________________________________________ Peter Ostry - po@ostry.com - www.ostry.com Ostry & Partner - Ostry Internet Solutions Auhofstrasse 29 A-1130 Vienna Austria fon ++43-1-8777454 fax ++43-1-8777454-21 Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
