Cybercash is what their bank uses so that is a given. They also want to be able to assure customers that their CC numbers are secure so using SSL (MacOS 8.1/WebSTAR 3.0.1) is a given. We have the latest versions of WebCatalog & WebMerchant.Having gone through the dox for both apps (excellent, BTW), I find that I'm still puzzled on two counts.First, the recommendation to place most of one's store on a non-SSL server certainly makes sense but I'm at a loss to understand how to run most of the store on port 80 and just the page with the CC number on the SSL side (using one machine). I tried running two copies of WebCatalog but the second one launched complained that the S/N was already in use so I guess that's not an option.Second, I looked through the WebMerchant dox and find no mention of CyberCash although I'm sure that its supported. I did acquire the CyberCash templates whose Read Me says:WebCatalog CyberCash Test Templates1. Install WebCatalog 3.0 b4 or later for Macintosh 2. Edit the default.tpl file and set the seed and merchant text variables to the test values you received from CyberCash. Cybercash calls these the Secret and CCID 3. Link to default.tpl and enter the information for the transaction. 4. Click Submit. 5. A listing of all the result variables returned from CyberCash are returned.Which is a bit too sparse for a newbie such as myself. Will there be supplemental instructions? In the meantime (my boss wanted this last week), is there someone here who has done this successfully who would be willing to share the proceedure and respond to a few follow-up questions?TIA for any and all help. ===================================================================== Dr. Frank Lowney flowney@mail.gcsu.edu Director, Instructional Technology Services, a component of the Division of Information and Instructional Technology, Georgia College & State University CBX 034, Georgia College & State University Milledgeville, GA 31061-0490 Voice: (912) 445-5260 FAX: (912) 445-2521 Primary Web Sites: GC EduNET (K-12) System: http://www.gcedunet.peachnet.edu GC&SU's Official Site: http://www.gcsu.edu Personal Pages: http://www.faculty.de.gcsu.edu/~flowney ===================================================================== We don't make instruction effective, we make effective instruction more accessible.
