I understand that WebCat is not dependent on the IP Address of the visitor, but that makes me wonder how it (or the Web server) can possibly tell the difference from one visitor to the next without referring to the IP? Christer's last comment makes the most sense, in that a proxy server is probably caching the requested page and serving it to all the browsers on the LAN, with a cart number already hard-coded into the page.
