As far as I know, there is nothing on the server side that can interfere with a browser being able to select links. Buttons can trigger JavaScript and of course will not work if JS is turned off.I don't know if this helps youJohn Peacock ____________________Reply Separator____________________ Subject: Submit buttons not working.... Author: Date: 12/16/99 9:50 AMI've got a problem here that I originally thought was a problem with my browser but now appears to be more widespread as I am now getting reports from my visitors. This problem appears to be with webcat plugin 3.0.5b12.Here's the symptoms.Browsers get served a complete page, but clicking on and submit buttons or clickingon any link on the page do not work. Nothing happens... The cursor does not change from an arrow to a hand and no amount of clicking does anything. It's as if the button or link was never really there. An inspection of the html in the browser's view source appears to be just fine. Reloading the page does not help. The only way out is to quit and relaunch the browser. Now there are a couple of other possibilites for this problem. I upgraded to w*4.1 a few days ago, and so far the only browsers that have this problem are of the Netscape variety. Mine is NN 4.08 for mac and one other report is for Communicator 4.07 (unknown OS). Other reports are pending further investigation. But here's the kicker... This is a very busy site since september and up until this weekend, had been running on w*4.0 and webcat 3.0.4. The problem did not exist under that configuration. Nor does the problem appear when I am runnign webcat 3.0.5 b10.Anyone else seeing this problem? Thanks, ___Joe____________________________________________________ Joseph D'Andrea JoeDan@West21.com WEST21.com Internet services for the 21st Century http://www.west21.com/ _________________________________________________ ############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
