Everything is set to user nobody.nobody and that is what the webserver and WebCatalog deamons are running under. Mandrake is just a repackaged RedHat 6.1 with a kernel that has been optimized for Pentium + CPU's. And of course they have some Mandrake specific packages as well, but that shouldn't affect the webserver portion as it is standard Apache 1.3.9. I have RedHat 6.1 here at home as well, I could install that on my linux partition and see if everything goes well there. Can't install RedHat 6.1 on the machine I am having trouble with as it is at a location approx 2 hours from here. Should be someone there that can do that on Monday though if it works out on my home machine.John W.
