texte = Hi All:I have just read through the archives regarding Filemaker Pro and [convertchars] issues. And, I didn't see this question asked/answered specifically.I use FMPRO v. 4 to build news databases. Of course, when I export the tab-delimited file and upload as a database, I get bad characters. Now, I am aware that I can (and do) use [convertchars] to change these characters...but this seems like a tedious way to accomplish this. This means that I have to add the [convertchars] tag everywhere that I call to a field or record that has been exported from FMPro. Tedious. Is there no other solution? Some way to convert the entire database each time I export from FMPRO? If I have to dump FMPro, what is a better program to use? (mac-compatible)...Any suggestions would be appreciated...and then of course, there is always the Excel issue with adding quotation marks!Timothy W.
