texte = I think I may have narrowed down some ideas regarding our daily WebCat slowdown. To get beyond a 'gut feeling' for moderate slowdowns I employed some code that does a couple of things.~ First it does some WebCat functions and calculates an elapsed time. ~ Then is does some quick calcs to come up with a can do per hour/day. ~ Then every 15 minutes it sends that info to my pager so that I can monitor it.I will be employing some more code that actually restarts webstar when that number falls below acceptable minimums.but....The question I have is does anyone have any great experiences with WebCat and pixo. I have realized that I overlooked that we do thousands of connections per day in the pixo format. Has anyone else seen any instability there? Does SM have any reports of pixo based issues?Remember the symptoms. The acgi would slowdown until it finally stopped responding. Force quitting it was hell as it 'hid' behind every other Mac based task until they were all gone and only then could it be force quit. The plugin stopped the 'lock ups' but still suffers from periodic slowdowns that take it way down below acceptable levels.I believe that it is possible that some bad DNA may be causing an issue as the slowdowns are not consistent in frequency but with 60-70,000 pages on the server finding it will be __very__ difficult. So pixo feedback? Anyone? Beuller? Thanks Alex-- Alex J.
