Its saves a lot of time, it's powerful, and it makes webcatalog site creation much more productive.Re: Jay's comment about the new store builder - I haven't checked it out, but if you build a site that is not necesarily a store you definitely don't want all the carts and shopping stuff bloating your site with links and files. Just a comment!>>unlimited number of sophisticated eCommerce web sites The new docs specify a maximum number of databases of 100. I guess we should be warned that working with multiple small databases could quickly reach that 100 database limit, and that's particularly important for people hosting webcat sites.Other Comments:I'd like to see the UPLOAD feature. How does it work? Is it based on Site Edit Pro?What about the XML integration? Any pointers, comments? The Docs - UNDOCUMENTED CONTEXTS: speaking of previously undocumented features discussed on the regular list, I'd like to see a _complete_ list of undocumented contexts (not unsupported), such as [thisDB], [thisFolder] and so on, that are clearly used in some of the templates that webcatalog comes with, but there's no word on them in the docs. These contexts clearly could enhance our productivity if we have them documented. The Docs - EXAMPLES: Some tags, contexts have very brief explanations. We could use a few Real world examples, not necesarily code but a few words on this context would be very useful for... or in conjunction with...The INSTALLER (mac): The new installer places a WebCatalogEngine in the cgi-bin folder in WebStar. At least myself, I had to make changes to WebStar security realms - so this should be brought up at installation time. It took me a while to figure why I couldn't get to the Admin part, even that I knew the passwords. An alternative would be to move the WebCatalogEngine folder back into the WebCatalog folder. What was the prupose of moving/placing this folder into the cgi-bin folder? As a personal preference, I think it's more convenient to have all the WebCat admin files in the same place. That's about it for now.-Serban ############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
