Here's a little more info on my problems with the caching...First of all, I noticed that when I change information on a template that is within a form, and called from a link in another frame, that I am now having to super-reload the individual frame window, something I never used to have to do. If I made a change to the template on the right frame, all I used to have to do was re-click on the link in the left frame window, to get the new data up. Even if the template in the right frame made a change to the database, simply clicking on the link on the left side, would show the new data in the right frame. That is no longer the case. I must now manually refresh (super-reload) the right frame to view the new contents. But, even this does not help consistently. Sometimes, nothing I do will display the new date, until I flush WebStar.Another thing that I noticed, which proves that that something on the server is caching the template files, was when I made a loaded up an original page, made a database change through that page, and attempted to view the new data. No amount of database flushing could display the new information. Then, on a whim, I loaded up the same page from a different computer; one that had not previously loaded that page. It showed all the original information that the first computer was stuck showing, even though it had never loaded that page, and could not possibly have had the original version cached! Upon flushing WebStar's cache, and super-reloading both browsers on each computer, the new data was displayed. What concerns me most about this problem, is that this is a big selling point that I can offer to my clients - the ability to have an admin interface by which they can add their own database items. I am waiting with trepidation for my first client to call and tell me that their admin interface is not working. It seems as though not only are the pages being cached, but that not even changes to the database information is displayed on those pages, at least not consistently, without flushing WebStar's cache. In case you are wondering:350 MHz B&W G3 256MB ram 90 MB allocated to WebStar (less than half is ever consumed) Plugin version of WebCat, version 4.0.1b2 Version 4.3b1 of WebStarI thank you in advance for any solution you have...Thanks,Dennis ############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
