The reason for this is simple to anyone who really knows the webdna language, and here it is:Webcat has internal code that deals with [convertchars] database files in a unique way. That internal code is smart enough to look in the 'from' field for 3-character 'escaped ascii' strings. When it finds a 3-character escaped ascii string, it deals with it as if it were the corresponding single character it is meant to represent. Therefore, John's claim If you want to do what you are trying to do, you must use the 4.x context convertwords. is absolutely false and totally WRONG. He doesn't seem to know nearly as much about the webdna language as he professes, or he probably would not have given you such bad advice.I would like to suggest that we deal with the facts here, instead of John's false theories, and the facts are simple and undisputable: You do NOT need version 4 to do the conversions in your example here, because webcat 3 can easily handle this task.If you quit webcatalog, then copy and paste the following db code into a new text file, and name the file properly, and place it into the proper location, it should solve the problems you have been experiencing with your conversions failing to work as expected with version 3.Just remember, the last character in this file MUST be a carriage return, so don't make the mistake of cutting it off after the , make sure to get the following carriage return as well:from to %0B
%0D
