texte = Ah, the good old conversion of carriage returns! : )I have a news database (entered by the user through a textarea) that I want to allow some basic, UBB-style formatting on in addition to swapping out the carriage returns with HTML paragraph tags. I set up a database to use with [convertwords] as follows...---- file: newsConversion.db ---- from to %0D

[b] [/b] [i] [/i] Now when put into practice, the bold and italic formatting worked great, but the returns were ignored completely! (I also tried using %0D%0A) I took the %0D

out into its own separate database and used it with [convertchars] and *then* the returns got replaced properly. Don't tell me I have to use the ugly...[convertwords db=newsConversion.db][convertchars db=newsParagraphConversion.db][story][/convertchars][/convertwords]... (which, admittedly, does work) to get the job done?Rob Marquardt Designer/Resident Wirehead Toast Design800 Washington Avenue North Minneapolis MN 55401 612.330.9863 v 612.321.9424 f www.toastdesign.com ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
