In this case, the decrypt either doesn't work or nothing is displayed.I am trying to protect credit card n=umbers that are stored in a WebMerchant Orders database. We process cards manually and only use WebMerchant to display and manage the orders. On the store site, I put the credit card number into one of the cart headers. Since I can't seem to encrypt and decrypt the card number, I figured I could perform some sort of mathmatical operation on the card number when setting it into a header and do the reverse when displaying the card number in WebMerchant. At least, if someone snags the orders database off my server, the card number won't be usable. Not a perfect solution, but the best I can do now.The problem is that when I perform some [math] on the card number, the result is in scientific notation and the card number doesn't survive the reverse math that I perform in WebMerchant to view it.Any help would be appreciated.Richard Kirsner------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
