texte = We use a system of writing the e-mail data to a database. Each record holds the mail header data and references a text file on disk that contains the message body. We then have a trigger hit a page once a minute and writefile out 500 messages, deleting them from the database at the same time. The timing of the trigger and the max=500 can be adjusted to your system. We use this combo on a G4 running Webstar and SIMS. We could pump up the throughput, but don't want to compromise the web serving performance during heavy listserve usage.
