numero = 39807
interpreted = N
texte = yes, I realize that however, I would like to be able to have it determined on output or have the default be to not export quotes. This is because our magnificant order entry ppl have used the for the inch sign in the fields. So, If I import the Data w/o quotes to define text I get all the quotes (inch signs and text labled). At this point I could do something like a find and replace to get rid of all the quotes but this would leave all the numbers that represent inches labeless. If I import the Data with 's as defining text, just the inch quotes are imported and I can change them from to in.. However, on export the quotes are put back in.Of course, I can then reimport it again into either BBEdit or Excell and then delete all the quotes however, I thought there might be a better app for this kind of thing out there that lets you dictate how fields are saved upon export. whew... thought I might be able to get around explaining all that. :-) DAndrew Simpson wrote:> When you import the document in the first place it will ask you if you want > to differentiate text with quotes. > > Then when you export it again it remembers. > > on 1/11/01 9:37 AM, Donovan Brooke at dbrooke@ehg.net wrote: > > > Questions beget more questions. :-) > > > > What spreadsheet apps are people using out there on the Mac side of things.?? > > Excell seems to do alright however I don't like a couple things about it. > > One, > > it is a Microsoft product (reveiling my opinions).
