Which it handles much better now. At any rate one needed to keep the db's to a minimum if one had more than one website. Since we did and do, we designed the system to use one database ieSKU CAT MCAT TITLE DESCRIPTION 1 2 10_2,10_3 Toy Foam and Rubber oh what fun.In this way we could search CAT & MCAT collectively for the value 10_2 or the value 2. MCAT was in essence a table of its own. Now if we designed this without those constraints then yes we could have built that without those contraints. But since this was built 6+ years ago how does your comment help me with the function of word breaks.Additionally since we performed the search on this db, we did not have to do a second search to retrieve further information in another search. For example lets say we are looking for items in the category 10_2, so we set our search that way. It then returns 50 records and we display information from the database like title and description. We can also have any number of categories not limited by the number we set up if we were to use separate fields. If we do the search under your system we now search the cat.db file and return our same 50 records only now we have to do 50 searches to get the Title, Description, price etc.... The latter seems much more processor intesive, I could be wrong though since there is more data to wade through in the first example.Sincerely,Robert Minor Director of Internet Services ------------------------------------------------------------ Cybermill Communications http://www.cybermill.com http://www.merchantmaker.comProviding Ecommerce and interactive website development and hosting services on Macintosh, Windows NT, Unix, and AS/400.All your websites are belong to us! ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
