texte = Thanks for replying, Alain. I ended up using BBEdit's placeholders (#CREATIONDATE#, #MODIFIEDDATE#) and then went 'Markup-->Update-->Document' to insert all relevant dates into metatags for each of my HTML documents. It was easy and cool! Now I need to find out how to get the dates in the right format (YYYY-MM-DD).
