File info on files with funky characters in their names

texte = I'm working on a generic file upload page for a client, and was testing for robustness for users entering obscure characters in their file names - ampersands, quotes, equal signs, etc. I found some interesting info about [fileinfo] and wanted to pass it on, as well as request comment from SMSI...Unlike all (that I've tried) other WebDNA tags, FileInfo does not work properly when you the parameter.Given a file named a&b.txt, using [fileinfo a&b.txt] works fine, but using [fileinfo a&b.txt] fails to find the file. Other tags, such as [include a&b.txt] work fine with the .Then I tried quotes. I can [writefile file=12paddle.txt], and I can use deletefile and renamefile on the file, but I cannot see the file with either [fileinfo 12paddle.txt] or [fileinfo 12paddle.txt]For SMSI: Is this intentional behavior? Is there a reason that [fileinfo] does not perform the implied [unurl] that all other tags do? Is there a reason that [fileinfo] cannot see files with quotes?TIA,Brian-- Brian Fries, BrainScan Software -- http://www.brainscansoftware.com ---------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list
