You are right, but if you test my above code, this doesn't work either. I realize the differences between null and zero (and have coded a workaround solution) but I thought I'd just post this because we work in a variable based environment. Sometimes there might be instances where variables passed might need to conain nothing. I just thought it might be beneficial to treat nothing as zero in a math context but I could be wrong (tis why I posted).
