texte = I use Webmin (webmin.com) to manage all my unix and linux servers. There is an easy module for managing Sendmail, including a way to view what is in your mailq. However, in the lack of using Webmin I know that the standard install of Sendmail should use the directory /var/spool/mqueue to store the emails waiting to be sent. If you have a mail clog you will find various files in that directory starting with qd, qf, qx. Delete everything in there (or move them to another directory so you can analyze them later), then restart sendmail, or just reboot the server if you don't know how to restart sendmail on its own. Of course, if this is the answer, once you get it working you need to figure out why THAT email stopped your system cold. Before deleting the email crack it open and look at it. The time stamp of the qx/qf/qd file should match the time stamp shown in your EmailLog (or at least within a split second or two). Usually the only emails that hiccup my systems are those more than 25MB that get differed from sending for something stupid like the recipient's mail box being full.
