WebDNA opened a whole new world for me.
I needed an image gallery and membership website in a hurry.
I am primarily a designer who only knew fundamental html, and couldn't afford a programmer. When I saw code examples of WebDNA, it did not look like gibberish; it made sense, and I knew it was within my grasp. I bought WebDNA and had my site running within 2 months, doing sophisticated things like managing membership signups and processing credit cards in real time, and image searching. This was without any programming language experience whatsoever. The site is 10 years old now, and running solidly as ever on my original code.
Since then, I've learned a lot, and gone on to produce other websites and web applications. Whoscoming.com manages event registration giving each client their own URL and admin interface, all run from a central code base, making updates on my part easy. Whoscoming
But I still marvel that my original site, coded by a rank beginner on a deadline, has worked flawlessly for over 10 years now.
