texte = Can we call it a 'stinky' file? Your text editor or FTP software would have bitched if you didn't have the right permissions. Do they reflect the changes if you re-open them after a save? I've used .inc files a bunch and they have always acted just like straight .tpl files in UNIX, so I'd try checking for more basic problems, like making sure you're on the right server & in the right directory, etc. It's always been something irritatingly dumb for me when I've had problems like this.
