texte = I never quite "got" the idea of short sells. It's almost like... You bought a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500,and keep it in the garage. It's value over the long term goes up. But, since you're not using it... I'm going to borrow it without your knowledge and take it out for a spin. It will be returned in the same condition as when I took it, because I repaired any damage that may have been done to it. So, basically, I get to borrow your car at absolutely no benefit to you. It's more like parking in a handicap spot with the engine running and the hazard lights on and hoping you don't get a ticket. If you come back out, and your car is still there and there's no ticket, you've broke even or made a profit. It just seems to be a stupid concept that defeats the purpose of owning long term stock.
